GSA-Technology and High Strength Glulam

Neue Holzbau AG, located in Lungern (OW) has been developping, testing  and using Glulam in various timber species for the last 20 years. Beech is commonly used when it comes to structures on a high load level. Glulam in beech can be produced up to a strength class of GL48 which is double the strength of a standard Glulam in spruce. Due to global warming, beech growth in forests is overtaking the growth of spruce. These new circumstances have to be matched.
