With a fantastic view of Lake Aegeri, the Aegeri pool invites you to enjoy swimming and relaxation. But it’s not just the view that’s great – the building itself is also worth seeing. The international Iconic Award 2020, which was awarded to Scheitlin Syfrig Architekten AG from Lucerne for the innovative architecture, bears witness to this.
The supporting structure of the indoor swimming pool – like the façade – is made of wood and was manufactured by Urs Iten Holzbau AG from Oberägeri. “The biggest challenge for us was the clarification of the fasteners and steel parts,” says owner Urs Iten, looking back on the construction phase. Some of the steel parts are exposed to the indoor swimming pool climate. That’s why all the fasteners had to be made of stainless steel (quality 1.4529 / 1.4539 / 1.4578).
We were very pleased to be able to help plan and finally manufacture the six trusses for the indoor swimming pool for our customer Urs Iten Holzbau AG.
The trusses have a length of almost 28 metres and weigh around 5.5 tonnes each.
